Event Producer - Event/Conference Consultant at MassMutual Hartford, CT

In partnership with the team lead, you will provide a consistent planning approach across all events by consulting with internal lines of business to execute small to medium size meetings and events. This role is a part of the Event and Conference Management Team. The Impact Management of MassMutual business programs/meetings/events, which would include consulting with our business partners on their meeting requirements, leading project planning, managing the meeting budget, sourcing event venues, contract management, attend travel in conjunction with travel management vendor, registration website and mobile app development, food and beverage management, etc. The Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree 7+ years' experience in meeting/event/conference planning 1+ years of experience with CVENT 1+ years of experience with Event Project Management tools, i.e. Airtable or similar 1+ years of experience in PowerPoint Availability to work nights and weekends as needed for event execution Ability to travel up to 50% of time throughout the year in various US and possible international locations (approximately 15-20 meetings and events) The Ideal Qualifications Strong budgeting acumen Strong communication skills Experience supporting with executive leadership Tech-savvy and able to learn/adopt new technology tools and platforms quickly Organized and able to plan appropriate project timelines, work backward from deadlines, identify milestones and owners, and execute against a plan Proven written and communication skills Experience working for an Event Agency Project management/program management skills Business communications experience Advanced experience with AirTable and CVENT Continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to introducing new and innovative ideas and communications approaches Strong attention to detail Ability to work with a variety of behavioral styles & levels of management Ability to think and adapt quickly to a fast-moving range of issues while remaining calm under pressure Ability to be proactive, anticipate and problem solve quickly What to Expect as Part of MassMutual and the Team Regular meetings with the Events and Conference Management Team Focused one-on-one meetings with your manager Access to mentorship opportunities Networking opportunities including access to Asian, Hispanic/Latinx, African American, women, LGBTQ, Veteran and disability-focused Business Resource Groups Access to learning content on Degreed and other informational platforms Your ethics and integrity will be valued by a company with a strong and stable ethical business with industry leading pay and benefits #LI-SC1 MassMutual is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer Minority/Female/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Individual with Disability/Protected Veteran.
