Event Production Manager

Our client, a vibrant arts and entertainment promoter, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Production Manager to oversee the successful execution of various live events in **Boise, Idaho, US**. This hands-on role is responsible for all logistical and technical aspects of event production, from planning and budgeting to on-site management and post-event wrap-up. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, resourceful, and possess a strong background in event management, technical production, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of event production, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Coordinate with artists, performers, speakers, and other stakeholders to ensure their technical and logistical needs are met. Oversee the setup, operation, and teardown of all event elements, including staging, lighting, sound, AV, and other technical equipment. Liaise with venue management to ensure smooth event execution and compliance with venue policies. Source, negotiate with, and manage external vendors and suppliers for equipment, staffing, and services. Develop detailed production schedules and run-of-show documents. Ensure all events adhere to safety regulations and obtain necessary permits and licenses. Manage on-site event staff and volunteers, providing clear direction and supervision. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or logistical issues that arise during events. Conduct post-event evaluations, reporting on successes, challenges, and areas for improvement. Manage event budgets, ensuring cost control and accurate financial reporting. Maintain strong relationships with key vendors, venues, and industry professionals. Assist in the development of event concepts and creative elements. Ensure a high-quality experience for all attendees and participants. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in event production and entertainment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Event Producer, Production Manager, or similar role in the arts and entertainment industry. Strong understanding of technical production elements (sound, lighting, AV, staging). Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills. Experience in budget management and financial oversight. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in event planning software is a plus. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and problem-solve creatively. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. A passion for live events and the arts.
