Location: Anchorage, AK Description: The ACT1 Event Program Planner supports the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies, the newest of six Department of War Regional Centers. In this role, you will work closely with other contract and government logistics and event planners in the Strategic Engagement Division to plan and execute events of various size, length and complexity. Evaluating current planning procedures, recommend improvements and implement modifications as appropriate.Assisting with travel requirements, acquiring airline tickets, filing pre- and post-travel vouchers, compiling security information and manage correspondence, when necessary.Traveling in support of international programs; perform pre, on-site, and post international event requirements.Providing summary of activities and financial costs to USG through the service contract's management on a weekly basis or as requested. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of five (5) years' experience planning domestic and international defense events.Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word and ExcelExperience with calendar creation, coordination and maintenance.SECRET clearance, or ability to obtain and hold a SECRET clearance, is required.
