This is NOT an event planning role, but will instead be focused on facilitating the seamless execution of a variety of events. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to make sure event project milestones are met and timelines are maintained, and will ensure smooth execution through these strategic management efforts. They are a Portland staple and have an excellent reputation in the community. You will: • Jump in to the department to drive seamless execution and communication around pre-planned events, primarily in the community engagement space • Manage timelines, budgets and communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors with the goal of creating seamless event experiences • Attend events, supporting set-up, take-down and other logistics day-of, occasionally outside of business hours or on weekends • Drive post-event communication, receiving feedback and communicating findings to the larger events team • Facilitate communication across the organization, externally and with vendors and for the department via email • Support the department in a variety of ad-hoc projects and responsibilities Your experience should include: • 3+ years of relevant experience in events or a similar role with a strong events focus • Experience supporting event execution and logistics day-of, and a comfort traveling around the larger Portland Metro Area • Excellent project and process management skills with the ability to add value to internal teams and streamline pre-, post- and day-of event touchpoints and goals • Experience in project management and/or event planning software • Availability to work occasional off-hours or weekend events, as needed
