This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced event planner who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in curating seamless, high-quality events.Key Strengths & QualificationsStrong knowledge of service techniques and event executionSelf-motivated, highly organized, and efficient in time managementCreative problem-solver with a keen eye for detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Point of Sale systemsNorthstar events planning software knowledge preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in food and beverage event planning or catering operationsBachelor's degree preferredKey ResponsibilitiesEvent Sales & PlanningBook, plan, and oversee the execution of banquets, weddings, corporate meetings, and social eventsDevelop room layouts, event orders, and customized plans for each functionCollaborate with the Executive Chef to design menus, set pricing, and coordinate event logisticsManage contracts, deposits, and financial documentation for non-member eventsEvent Execution & CoordinationOversee event set-up and ensure seamless executionServe as the primary point of contact for clients and members during eventsWork closely with the Communications Director to promote club eventsPartner with the Food & Beverage Management Team to ensure flawless service deliveryFinancial & Administrative OversightPrepare and track monthly sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with the CFOMaintain accurate records of all booked functions and financial performanceProvide P&L statements for individual events as neededMember & Guest ExperienceBe a visible and engaged presence at holiday celebrations and club-sponsored eventsOversee room aesthetics, decorations, and event ambianceEnsure exceptional service standards that enhance the club's reputationCollaboration & Team LeadershipThe Event Sales Manager plays a critical leadership role, not only in coordinating events but also in developing and mentoring a high-performing team. This position has two direct reports:Event Sales AssistantEvent CoordinatorLeadership & Development ExpectationsAs a leader, the Event Sales Manager is responsible for:Guiding and mentoring direct reports to develop their skills in sales, planning, and execution.Setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback to ensure high standards are met.Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.Providing training and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and career growth.Leading by example in client relations, service excellence, and event execution to uphold the club's reputation.Conducting regular check-ins and performance reviews to track progress and identify areas for improvement.Additionally, the Event Sales Manager works closely with:Food & Beverage ManagerExecutive ChefCommunications DirectorFood & Beverage Management TeamCFO & Accounting Team Other department heads (Membership, Youth Programs, Aquatics, etc. )Work Environment & Physical DemandsAbility to sit and stand for extended periodsCapable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
