Part-Time Event ServerCarver Event Center Happy Valley and Damascus, OregonThe Carver Event Center is seeking friendly, dependable event servers to join our team for weddings, celebrations, and other special events. This is a part-time position with most shifts occurring on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.Our event servers help create a welcoming experience for guests while supporting efficient, professional event service. We are looking for team members who are attentive, hardworking, and comfortable working in a busy event environment.ResponsibilitiesSet up tables, chairs, linens, place settings, beverage stations, and service areasWelcome guests and provide courteous, attentive serviceServe plated meals, buffet meals, appetizers, desserts, and nonalcoholic beveragesClear dishes, glassware, and service items throughout the eventRefill water, coffee, and other guest-service stationsAssist with buffet monitoring and food replenishmentRespond promptly and professionally to guest requestsMaintain clean, organized dining and service areasWork cooperatively with event captains, kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team membersAssist with event breakdown, cleanup, and resetting the venueFollow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety proceduresPerform other event-support duties as neededQualificationsFriendly, professional, and dependableAble to work effectively as part of a teamComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAble to remain on your feet for extended periodsAble to carry trays and lift up to 30 poundsAvailable for evening and weekend shiftsReliable transportation to Carver Event CenterPrevious serving, catering, banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience is helpful but not requiredOregon Food Handler Card required within 5 days of first ScheduleThis is an on-call, part-time position based on our event calendar. Most shifts are on weekends and may include afternoons, evenings, and holidays. Typical shifts are approximately [insert range] hours.
