Event Services Coordinator - Fairgrounds

The Event Services Coordinator, a non-Civil Service position located with The Fairgrounds Nashville, is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of special events for The Nashville Fair and associated support tasks. • Perform various supervisory duties in the absence of the Fair Manager. Must be able to occasionally work nights and few weekends as needed closer to the fair, including working on property every day before, during, and after the fair (roughly 4 weeks between August 26 – September 23 of every year.) Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities • Bachelor’s degree in event management, non-profit administration, marketing, or related field preferred • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred • Experience creating and managing social media content for marketing purposes • Possess a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong ability to plan: able to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency in a meaningful and practical way • Use goals to guide actions, create detailed action plans • Be curious, ask questions, present ideas, and brainstorm freely with a team in fun, collaborative atmosphere.
