Event Services Representative

**Overview:** The Event Services Representative plays a vital role in the success of events at the Alaska Airlines Center, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth execution of events. This part-time, temporary position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments. **Responsibilities:** • Assist with event set-up, break-down, guest services, and crowd control • Execute conversion requests to ensure the facility is ready for each event • Install and dismantle various conversion equipment, including staging, temporary flooring, trussing, demountable seating, and chair set/strike • Assist with opening or closing of the facility for event load-in or load-out • Perform duties at the cashier window, including ticket selling and monitoring inquiries and complaints • Monitor and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of the shift and maintain records of daily transactions • Provide accurate facility information and superior customer services to patrons • Other organizational and administrative duties as determined by management • *Qualifications:** • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED • Must be 21 and have TAPs certification to work in a designated "wet" section of an event • Previous Event and/or Guest Services experience preferred • Customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication skills required • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress, loud, and crowded environments • Ability to stay calm and professional in emergencies and de-escalate upset or inebriated guests • *Benefits:** • Part-time, temporary assignment with an hourly rate of pay of $16.15 per hour • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Professional development and growth opportunities • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off and holidays • Access to the University of Alaska's employee assistance program and other benefits
