In this dynamic hospitality role, you'll play a key part in creating exceptional experiences by setting up and breaking down banquet rooms tailored to each event's unique specifications. Your responsibilities will include arranging furniture and equipment, maintaining organized and clean event spaces, and assisting with quick room resets and changes, all while adhering to Marriott's high standards of safety and service.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and dismantle banquet rooms according to event requirements, organizing tables, chairs, stages, and necessary equipment.Maintain cleanliness and order of event spaces, storage areas, and service corridors to enhance guest experiences.Safely handle and transport furniture, supplies, and audio/visual equipment, ensuring a smooth operational flow.Assist banquet servers and supervisors with room refreshing, resets, and modifications as required for events.Consistently follow safety, sanitation, and Marriott brand standards to guarantee a safe environment.Respond rapidly to guest and event team inquiries, fostering a welcoming atmosphere focused on excellent service.Essential Skills
Experience in setting up and breaking down banquet rooms.Proficient in handling furniture and equipment safely.Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and material handling best practices.Ability to execute event staging and layout flawlessly.Basic expertise in audio/visual setup support.Experience with inventory and linen management.Familiarity with cleaning and sanitation protocols.Strong time management and multitasking skills.Exceptional guest service and communication abilities.Ability to collaborate within a team in a fast-paced environment.
