Event Specialist

The purpose of the Events Specialist is to lead in the ideation, coordination, and execution of various marketing events for Highland Homes Employee Owners, consumers, realtors, and developers. The Event Specialist will take the lead in delivering phenomenal events that build business relationships, generate excitement around Highland Homes, drive realtor and consumer traffic, and increase brand awareness. Work with Sr./Marketing Manager, Sales Managers, Sales Counselors, and Division Leaders to develop and execute events that meet company objectives:Work independently or alongside Sr./Marketing Manager to develop event strategies and programs that enable Sales to meet their goalsDevelop event concepts, themes and ways to engage audiences, whether for Employee Owners, consumers, or realtors, that address division and community objectivesPresent ideas and event details in a professional format to key internal and external stakeholdersLocate resources, visit sites, and lead pre-event meetings to help make decisions about event designDirect Graphic Designer to create artwork, organize and create marketing materialsEstablish and manage budget for events in collaboration with Sr./Marketing Manager, and process payments/invoicesReview and negotiate contracts with event vendorsContinually evaluate and adjust project priority based upon workload and necessityExplore assigned territory to understand the communities, get to know the Sales Counselors and understand their needsManage community-level marketing events, inclusive of coordinating logistical elements, with directional approval from Marketing Manager and Sales team from concept to completionLiaise with speakers and preparing speaking notesEngage with vendors and arrange security as neededProactively coordinate with Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinators to confirm the Marketing Calendar is current and that relevant details have been communicated.Maintain relationships with developer marketing teams and confirm alignment on and support of developer-led eventsContinually evaluate effectiveness of events; suggest improvements to Marketing Manager and VP of MarketingAttend events as neededTrack realtor attendance at all events accurately in SalesforceEvaluate effectiveness of events with ROI reportingEstablish goals for selfSupport event-related needs of various internal and external clients, including Human Resources, Sales, Construction, Land, IT, Purchasing, and members of the Executive teamAssist Marketing Team as needed.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to interact with Realtors and others professionally.Strong negotiation skills preferred.Ability to work on several projects and tasks simultaneously on a daily basis required.Project management experience and meticulous attention to detail required.Multi-tasker with a strong work ethic.Superior interpersonal skills.Strong leadership qualities.Expert communication skills.The demands of this position may often dictate longer hours to successfully complete the day’s work.
