Event Specialist

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY: Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Events Specialist works to help advance NAMI St. Louis’s mission by supporting the organization’s comprehensive outreach and program support, communication, and development efforts, coordinating community outreach and events. Able to work occasional nights and weekends. Excels in organization, problem-solving, attention to detail, time, and project management skills. Able to work well in a fast-paced environment while adapting quickly to changing needs of the organization. Ability to work with, relate to, and communicate with members, participants, staff, committees, donors, Board of Directors, and people from various socio-economic and diverse backgrounds in a consistently professional manner, to handle sensitive constituent issues with discretion and tact, and to be conscientious and respectful of individuals living with a mental condition and their family members and friends.
