Job Title Event Specialist Location New Orleans, LA Position Overview Advantage Capital is seeking an Event Specialist to support the planning and execution of high‑quality events that strengthen relationships with investors, developers, partners and other stakeholders as well as internal events. The right candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong sense of quality and presentation, and enjoys planning thoughtful, well‑executed experiences. They will have the opportunity to thoughtfully expand the scope of the firm’s events platform to other business lines – engaging policy makers and others. Responsibilities Plan and execute frequent premium, high impact events including conferences, meetings, dinners, and other firm‑hosted experiences Research venues, hotels, restaurants, and vendors with a strong eye for quality, service, and overall experience Manage event logistics including timelines, guest coordination, travel arrangements, materials, budgets, vendor management and onsite execution Serve as a central point of coordination within the MarCom team, ensuring events and experiences align with firm priorities, messaging, and audience needs Lead onsite event execution and problem‑solve issues in real time Maintain a consistent, polished standard across all events, ensuring each experience reflects the firm’s brand and level of quality Manage event budgets with strong financial discipline, balancing cost efficiency with overall experience and impact Contribute to broader MarCom initiatives as needed, supporting execution across events, content, and firmwide efforts Support the creation and coordination of social media and event‑related graphics as part of broader MarCom execution Assist in preparing collateral and assets used across events, conferences, and internal initiatives Skills, Requirements & What We Value Bachelor’s degree required Minimum 5 years hospitality, event, travel, marketing, or customer‑facing experience required, with a clear interest in creating premium experiences across a range of budgets Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional presence Engaging and relationship‑oriented, with a natural ability to connect with clients and partners Refined judgment, taste, and attention to detail in service, design, and overall event experience Proactive problem‑solver who collaborates effectively and leverages an all‑hands‑on‑deck culture to get things done Financially disciplined, with sound judgment on spend—able to deliver exceptional experiences while maximizing return on budget Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and event management tools Able to travel and provide onsite support #J-18808-Ljbffr
