Role Description The Event Specialist is a part-time, on-site role based at The Barn at Twin Valley in Prattville, AL. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing events from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, including managing timelines, layouts, and vendor communication. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients to understand their needs, preparing proposals, maintaining event schedules, and overseeing event set-up, on-site logistics, and breakdown. The Event Specialist responds to guest questions, provides on-site support during events, and helps ensure a safe, clean, and organized venue environment. The role also assists with venue tours, social media and event marketing activities, and contributes to sales initiatives to drive bookings and repeat business.

Qualifications

Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients, guests, and vendors.Event Planning experience, including coordinating timelines, logistics, and on-site execution.Event Marketing and Sales abilities to support venue promotion, lead generation, and booking conversions.Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events and tasks.Comfort working evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light physical tasks related to event set-up and breakdown.Proficiency with email, calendars, and basic office software; familiarity with social media platforms is beneficial.Previous experience in hospitality, events, or a related field is preferred but not required.Pay: $15.00 per hour
