Event Specialist

We are bonded by our shared purpose - driving innovation that helps millions of learners improve their lives and achieve their dreams through education. - Make sure to communicate clearly with customers to give them the information they need to market and promote all upcoming events - Travel to events to provide onsite management as needed Requirements *: Must have - BA in Hospitality, Marketing, or other related experience - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - 1-3 Years of tradeshow/event planning - 1-3 Years contract negotiation experience - 1-2 years of using events to drive Brand Awareness, Demand Generation and Sales Enablement - Exceptional project management skills with utmost attention to detail - Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work independently with a positive attitude and ability to learn - Ability to travel 5 to 8 times per year - Able to meet physical demands associated with essential functions of the role, including lifting 50 lbs., packing and unpacking event materials, and standing for extended periods - Requires proficiency with MS Office and Office 365 and a mastery of Excel Preferred - Strong understanding of events impact on the marketing funnel and sales pipeline - Experience with Event Technology (Cvent or similar) and Project Management technology (Workfront or similar) About Cengage Group Cengage Group, a global education technology company serving millions of learners, provides affordable, quality digital products and services that equip students with the skills and competencies needed to be job ready.
