The Event Specialist is also responsible for the preparation, cleanliness and physical set-up and tear-down of special and internal events (corporate and social events as assigned), providing vendor and guest access to the facilities, facilitating necessary furnishings and equipment, and overseeing the liquor inventory and bartending staff. • Schedule and supervise all event volunteers, as many as 250 in one weekend. • Work collaboratively with other Zoo departments to develop activities to incorporate into special events and to assist with other department promotions. • Demonstrate ability to provide excellent customer service in all situations is required. • Must be self-starter and able to perform job with little or no supervision.
