Event Specialist Internship

The Chamber promotes local commerce, organizes community events, and fosters partnerships that help strengthen the regional economy.

Role Description The Event Specialist Intern is a part-time, on-site role based in Palisade, CO. The intern will assist with planning, organizing, and executing Chamber events, including community festivals, business networking gatherings, and promotional activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, communicating with vendors and participants, supporting marketing efforts, and providing on-site event support. The intern will also help with event registration, attendee communication, and post-event feedback and reporting. This role offers hands-on experience in event operations and exposure to the local business community.

Qualifications

Strong customer service skills, with the ability to support attendees, vendors, and Chamber members in a professional and helpful manner.Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Interest and basic skills in event planning and event marketing, including organizing details, timelines, and promotional activities.Foundational sales skills, such as engaging with potential sponsors, partners, and exhibitors to promote Chamber events.Ability to work on-site during scheduled events and office hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with standard office software and social media platforms; experience with design or marketing tools is a plus.Current student or recent graduate in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.For complete job description go to: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_22NgspBn4212bXUTYwM5Lfk_vL-Drw2/view?usp=sharing
