The candidate will work a variable work schedule (occasional Saturdays, evening programs e.g.) Off campus travel is sporadically required including overnight stays, in support of events and recruitment. About this Position The Orientation Programs & Event Specialist will provide leadership and professional expertise in the planning and implementation of prospective and new student experience programs, including but not limited to orientation and enrollment and prospective student events. Required Qualifications High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) Two years of work experience Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience This position requires a high level of internal and external public contact serving as a liaison between the Admissions and Recruitment Office, various academic units, and other organizations within the University. Demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage details of multiple and complex projects within firm schedules; Must possess computer skills and the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software, knowledge of desktop production and database systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent general office skills; high ethical standards and professional behavior; be able to work independently; Knowledge of MS application.
