Assists the Events Team in coordinating, and implementing venue rentals at the Witte Museum by being on premises to supervise venue rentals as assigned. • Keep self-familiarized with work orders for each event • Attend Work Order weekly meetings as available • Be able to implement work order needs per assigned events • Assist with maintaining Event Rental and meeting files • Assist with implementation of Cocktails and Culture and other in-house events • Provide support for museum events such as member parties, donor receptions and the museum’s annual fundraising events • Be familiar with venue protocols including catering requirements • Oversee event details; be on site for event planning appointments with clients, caterers and other vendors; as well as being on-site during set-up, for the duration of the event, take down, and clean up as scheduled • Oversee small parties and meetings as assigned: be on site for set-up, duration of event and clean up, assist with checking in guests for first 30 min. of event • Address client questions, concerns, and resolve problems • Associate or bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field preferred • Must be able to work weekends and evenings with some weekdays • Ability to work independently and as a team member • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
