Role Description The Event Staff role at La Petite Occasions is both on-site and off-site, position based in Bessemer, AL. This role involves setting up and breaking down event spaces, arranging décor, equipment, and seating according to event plans. Event Staff greet guests, provide directions, answer questions, and support a welcoming environment throughout each event. Responsibilities include coordinating with the event planning team, assisting with check-in or registration, and helping with basic event logistics such as traffic flow and timing. The role may also involve supporting event marketing activities on-site, handling simple sales or upsell opportunities, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events.

Qualifications

Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with guests, clients, and team members.Experience or interest in Event Planning and Event Marketing to support event setup, promotion, and execution.Basic Sales skills to assist with on-site sales, upselling services, or responding to guest inquiries about offerings.Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move event materials as needed, and to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.Reliability, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset; prior event or hospitality experience is beneficial.
