Don Strange of Texas is currently looking for an energetic, innovative Event Supervisor to join our team. The Event Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the event: handling pre and post event reports, directing and assigning tasks to a designated team, liaising clients, as well as staying ahead of the curve on production, logistical aspects and solving operational challenges. • Coordinate with sales staff, clients, vendors, and production staff to institute needs and expectations for the event • Maintain and understand all equipment needs for events off site as well as curating lists of equipment and managing inventory • Plan and facilitate logistics relating to equipment, décor, and presentational needs • Complete and submit all equipment loading lists to appropriate departments in a timely manner • Execute all aspects of banquet service which include, but are not limited to: buffet set-up, bussing techniques, and correct table settings • Administer client experiences from conception through post event, manage on and off-site preparations, event set up and breakdown, secure consistent high-level service throughout all phases • Adjust and handle issues that arise before and during the event • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, associates and management • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • A minimum of 1-year experience in high-volume, upscale service environment is required; catering/fine dining experience is a plus • Experience working with Perfect Venue software is a plus • Ability to multitask and make split second decisions • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail • Ability to provide strategies and choreography of events • Knowledge of different service techniques and bartending experience • Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays • High school diploma or equivalent • A valid Texas driver’s license and proof of valid auto insurance • Ability to drive company trucks and vans (CDL not required) • TABC & ServSafe certifications • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting heavy equipment and standing for extended periods of time • Flexible scheduling and an energized environment • Competitive pay with advancement opportunities • Work Day meals (most days) • Weekly pay, plus commission
