Recognized as an expert in the field, the Community Events Program Supervisor will have experience in employee supervision, quality customer service, cultural competence, event design and logistics, and best practices for ensuring event safety. The Community Events Program Supervisor will be able to demonstrate proven organizational methods, excellent time- management and a track record of successfully launching a wide range of community events. Experience in budget development, project management, staff supervision and leadership along with skills in marketing, public outreach and policy development are all central to the work of the Community Events Program Supervisor. Successful Candidates Will Have • Minimum, 3 year’s-experience designing and managing mid-to-large scale events • Experience developing and managing budgets • Experience developing event procedures and policies • Experience processing permits and working with public safety standards • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multi-task • Time management skills and ability to prioritize a large volume of tasks • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn • Strong interpersonal skills including experience building and maintaining relationships with a diverse network of individuals and organizations • Great customer services skills • Excellent written skills including experience writing marketing or public relations text
