Events and Catering Director | GVO Hospitality

GVO Hospitality is looking for an experienced and driven event planner who is ready to lead our Events & Catering demands. You will oversee our catering orders as well as private dining options and be responsible for the successful booking and execution of all catering and events outside or daily service. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Creating/distributing schedules of all events. * Problem solving in a positive way and offering solutions/support where necessary. Candidate must haves: * A genuine eye for detail and appealing presentation * A diversity of experience supervising both small and large high-end events * A scope of diversity that ranges from Catering pick up, Catering Delivery, Off Site Catering, Private Dining and Buyouts * Strong hospitality and service skills * Catering background or event booking/execution experience preferred * Experience in working with a restaurant is also preferred * Extremely people centric and detail oriented * Ability to speak Spanish is a plus * Strong FOH & BOH experience; with background on food safety requirements * Negotiation and sales skills very useful * Strong sense of self motivation and creativity to guest outreach, guest menu planning, decor, and design of the event concept * Ability to spend work mainly in the office but also available to work some time with the events or guests as well * Pay and sales percentage is Depending on Experience Please reply with your resume.
