Events and Marketing Manager

How You Will Make An Impact Event Design and Execution • Develops and manages a comprehensive events calendar commensurate with City Year Tulsa’s benchmarks and milestones throughout the year, including national and local events and external partnerships • Events are both internal and external: Staff Retreats, Graduation, Civic Engagement, Fundraising • Engages site and generates excitement around events by serving as main point of information for staff, volunteer committees, attendees, vendors, and site leadership • Collaborates with the fellow development team members, site leadership, and volunteers to articulate clear goals for each event • Secures necessary vendors, obtain quotes, secure contracts, and monitor vendor performance to ensure City Year receives exceptional service and value • Develops staffing plans and train AmeriCorps members, staff, and volunteers on roles as necessary • Creates event budgets and track expenses • Documents and maintains record of written materials and documents for future reference a plus • Knowledge of registration and communications best practices a plus • Experience with information systems and databases, and ability to ensure all event data (attendees, volunteers, media, etc.) Diverse teams of City Year AmeriCorps members provide support to students, classrooms and the whole school.
