The Communications and Marketing Manager role at the Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center is a vital position responsible for executing the overall communication strategy designed to raise exposure of the Parish facilities. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with area vendors, businesses, and organizations to effectively promote the use of the Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center and its services. The work schedule currently is a Monday through Friday, 40-hour week with occasional weekends and a flexible schedule to meet event requirements. This role is well suited for individuals with a passion for environmental education, community outreach, and event marketing. • bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or related degree or equivalent work experience • proven experience in event planning and marketing • knowledge of marketing and social media principles • excellent interpersonal and communication skills • proficiency with Microsoft Office • ability to multitask and work under pressure • availability to work flexible schedule including occasional weekends • willingness to travel to events
