Events Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: The Events Assistant will be involved in selling, planning, and executing Perennial Hospitality Group private events and special events. The Events Assistant will work closely with the Private Events Coordinator and General Manager to ensure all public and private PHG events are executed at a high level of customer service. • Adhere to and advance the Mission and Vision Statements of Perennial Hospitality Group • Embody the Core Values and Core Competencies of Perennial Hospitality Group • Manage recurring programming such as Bingo and Trivia nights • Manage holiday decor for all venues • When assigned an event, manage day of event execution including, but not limited to crowd management, coordination with bar staff, meeting cleanliness standards, furniture set-up, coordination with caterers, vendors, and security, and serving as point of contact for the client • Keep partner websites updated (i.e. Visit Pensacola) • Manage internal recurring Slack communication around upcoming events, staff birthdays, etc. • Ability to work flexible days and hours • Ability to work independently with little supervision – self motivated • Excellent oral, analytical, written, and group presentation communication skills • Strong organization, planning, and sales skills • Experience with Triple Seat preferred • Exemplary customer service • Attention to detail Work Location: In person
