The Events and Communications Coordinator with the Town of Middletown’s Community Outreach Department will be responsible for assisting and leading in the coordination, planning, promoting, and executing of community events and outreach activities. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the class, or it addresses business needs and changing practices: • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing inclusive year-round community events, programs, and public outreach activities for residents of all ages. Knowledge and Technical Skills • Knowledge of coordinating logistics for community events, meetings, and public programs. • Knowledge of public information, outreach, and communication strategies within a municipal or nonprofit environment. • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required to support community events.
