The Events Coordinator will support fundraising activities within the department to ensure that Institute events are executed professionally and yield high-quality outcomes.This staff member will assist with the maintenance and accuracy of published events information; create new events; draft and send regular correspondence; maintain databases and reports; research and gather information; work with donor prospects and volunteers; and serve as primary contact for special events. Responsibilities • Serve as staff liaison to chairpersons and committees of internal/departmental fundraising events and provide coordination support for third-party/community fundraising events. • Represent the Institute on events related contracts and negotiations and at special events and public relations/media activities. • Assist with event planning and provide recommendations to operating policies and practices that will enhance the event based on careful evaluation and analysis of event performance and policies. • Minimum 1 – 2 years of event coordination, planning, meeting and event management, or relevant related work experience is required.
