ASM Global, a leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking a Director of Events at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Director of Events will be responsible for various functions under the direction of the General Manager in accordance with ASM policies.. B.S. in Hotel Management or related field or equivalent experience; 3-5 years of Event Management experience in a Convention Center or related venue; 1-3 years of supervisory experience desired; excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required; ability to effectively supervise staff and handle personnel problems; ability to prioritize multiple projects; high aptitude for figures and advanced writing skills; experience with AutoCAD preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
