Events Director

About The Job:

We're seeking a strategic, hands-on, and highly driven Events Director to join the Copper & Kings team and lead the next chapter of our growth. This role owns our events business end to end — weddings, corporate gatherings, private parties, and brand experiences — at one of Louisville's most distinctive distillery venues.

You'll work closely with leadership, hospitality, sales, and marketing to turn our venue into a destination event brand — building the systems, and sales pipeline needed to book more events and deliver a flawless guest experience at every one of them.

Copper & Kings American Brandy Company is a trailblazing distillery based in Louisville, Kentucky. Known for doing things differently — like aging brandy in bourbon barrels and finishing bourbon in brandy barrels — we celebrate a modern American take on spirits. Your Responsibilities

Own the events business end to end, from strategy to on-site executionBuild and run the full sales pipeline for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and brand activations — inquiry through booking through executionDevelop pricing, packages, and venue offerings that make Copper & Kings the obvious choice for events in LouisvillePersonally lead sales outreach and relationship-building with planners, corporate accounts, and past guests to build repeat and referral businessPlan and execute flawless events on-site, managing vendors, staff, timelines, and guest experience from load-in to load-outBuild out the team, processes, and tools (booking systems, staffing plans, vendor network) needed to support higher volume without sacrificing qualityPartner with marketing to promote the venue and build a steady inbound lead flow through digital, social, and local partnershipsCollaborate with hospitality and brand teams to ensure every event reflects the Copper & Kings brand and productTrack booking volume and guest satisfaction, and adjust strategy based on what's workingRepresent Copper & Kings with energy, hustle, and confidence — this role sets the tone for the whole events business

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in events, hospitality, venue management, or a related fieldA builder's mindset — someone energetic and hungry, who wants to grow a business rather than maintain oneStrong sales instincts and comfort owning revenue targets, not just executionExcellent organizational skills and the ability to run multiple events and priorities at once without dropping anythingHands-on leadership style — comfortable both closing a corporate deal and being on-site the night of a weddingStrong communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal teamsExperience managing staff, vendors, or contractors is a plusEntrepreneurial attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced growth environmentPassion for hospitality, events, spirits, or lifestyle brandsBased in or willing to relocate to Louisville, KY
