The Events & Hospitality Services team of Ligonier Ministries is seeking an experienced candidate that can manage the details--from big to small--in planning events and conferences that provide each attendee with a lasting impression. The successful candidate realizes that each aspect of an event, whether venue, food, or customer experience, shapes the overall guest experience, ensuring time invested with Ligonier is time well spent. Responsibilities: Manage all logistics for global outreach events including contract negotiations with hotels for food and lodging, travel... logistics for supporting staff, and facilitation of internal meetings to accomplish desired outcomes Manage all logistics for internal events and meetings including venue selection, site visits, creation and management of budgets, contract agreements, menu selection, and etc Oversee all planning logistics for pastor's information luncheons globally Recruit, organize, and manage volunteers including sign up, assigning tasks, communication, and training Provide on-site supervision during execution of the event Manage planning and execution of all speaker, staff, and attendee food & beverage details including menu selection, contracting, and on-site communication with vendors Manage vendor relationships to ensure that contracts reflect expected outcomes and are within budget Facilitate and/or participate in post event debrief meetings, capturing feedback to enhance future event experiences Qualifications: Agreement with the Ligonier Ministries Core Statement of Faith Minimum of a bachelor's degree or four years equivalent full-time event experience in event planning/execution Experience in booking hotel/conference contracts for both room nights and event space Detail-oriented, well-organized, multi-tasker Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to effectively delegate and manage people in working towards united goal Able to interact personably and well with valued ministry constituents and event participants Confident decision maker able to remain composed and be flexible as issues occur Able to be assertive and take the initiative in managing relationships and projects by deadline with minimal oversight Ability to work under stress and deadlines Ability to efficiently and effectively facilitate planning meetings within the organization Demonstrated passion for training and ability to train multiple volunteers for conference roles CMP certification preferred Requirements: May require some evenings and weekends Ability to travel up to 15% of time including international travel Must be able to fulfill the physical demands of event execution to include lifting, long hours on one's feet, ability to walk distances at a large venue Valid driver's license and the ability to drive a rental or personal car at event locations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, Florida.
