The Event Manager is responsible for planning university events, managing all student event coordinators, monitoring event coordination workloads, and leading and participating in a wide array of University Event team projects. The Event Manager works with event organizers to project manage all aspects of event coordination including but not limited to event briefs, registration, marketing and communications, audience development and management, catering, venue layout, audiovisual requirements, parking and public safety requests, and facility requirements. This role is responsible for the coordination of a diverse array of events that support every facet of campus and oversees and supports the work of all student event coordinators. Strong working knowledge of event planning and coordination, venue management, and policy implementation is a must. • Collaborates with all University Events full-time staff on effective supervision and mentorship of all University Events student employees, with an emphasis on SU's mission of educating the whole person, professional formation, and empowering leaders for a just and humane world.
