The Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing and evaluating all special events at United Way. This position reports to the Director of Brand Management & Community Engagement. Responsibilities: • Coordinates all aspects of event management; • Works with various departments to implement events targeting Giving Communities and the United Way; • Researches, identifies event opportunities, and negotiates with a diverse group of external vendors to procure goods and services for events; • Manages program budget development, compliance with financial and program reporting; • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key funders and partners. • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community. • Project management, organization and time management skills.
