Under direct supervision, the Events Manager will perform all duties related to planning and executing all DMP major events. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant work experience can substitute for the degree • At least one year experience coordinating special events • Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills and speaking • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments with little supervision • Flexible with overtime. • Any other equivalent combination of training and experience. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: Negotiate contracts and book event space, arrange food and beverage, ensure appropriate décor and solicit entertainment for Christmas party.
