Events Manager

As the Events Manager, you will ensure the execution, logistics and operations of Rise Against Hunger's volunteer meal packing events. You will also be responsible for seeking out speaking opportunities, new partnership potential, ensuring follow-up on referrals and assisting in the recruitment of a local engagement board Event Management and Facilitation: You will facilitate volunteers and train staff on packaging procedures, and adjust volunteer assignments in order to facilitate 4-12 volunteer run meal packaging events a month. You are age 21 years or olderAn Associate degree or two years of work experience in related fieldProficiency in Google/Microsoft office suite as well as other cloud-based softwareA valid driver's license with a clean driving record with a willingness to drive a box truck to transport materials to and from eventsAbility to perform physical tasks such as lifting or operating pallet jacks including frequently lifting up to 50lbsMust be able to comply with DOT regulations and maintain DOT certification (DOT does not allow any history of marijuana use even for medicinal purposes)Flexibility to work weekends as well as some evenings and early morningsResourcefulness to work in different spaces and environmentsExperience with non-profit work is helpful but not required
