Events Manager

ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive event logistical expertise to collaborators from planning through event execution and follow-upProject manage all event (tradeshow, Cengage hosted & virtual) deliverables from launch through execution, including post event follow-upNegotiate vendor agreements and complete all contractual deliverables with hotels, restaurants, decorating companies, exhibit houses, and AV partners required for each eventTrack and manage all event-related expenses to ensure adherence to budget guidelines to optimize valueSupport and collaborate with all Events team members throughout the year on events and department projectsSite research & selection for hotels & restaurants to host Cengage live eventsSetting up all virtual event needs including webinar platform and registration site as well as calendar invitations for rehearsals and event dayOptimizing the deployment of Cengage tradeshow assets and rented equipment to align with the specific objectives and engagement strategies of each conferenceManaging group air travel & ground transportation manifestsCrafting and managing online registration platforms, lead capture and mobile apps, ensuring accurate attendee data handling and full compliance with ethical standards and government regulationsCoordinating and communicating logistics to internal and external partners including post-event surveysPartnering with other Events staff to complete larger scale events as a teamTravel to Events to provide onsite management as neededRequirements3-5 years involved in planning events and trade shows including 1-2 years specifically in virtual event planning3-5 years of experience negotiating contractsBA/BS Degree or Related Work Experience of 3+ yearsProficiency with Zoom, MS Office and Office 365 and proficiency in ExcelExperience with Event Technology (Cvent or similar) and Project Management Technology (Workfront or similar)Ability to travel 6-8 times per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
