Job purposeThe Events Manager is responsible for all Allied Arts events; both fundraising events and donor stewardship events. The Events Manager is critical to the success of established events and helps to develop new events in support of the Allied Arts mission including community events where Allied Arts may be named as the beneficiary (special dinners, runs, etc.). The Events Manager oversees the events committees - motivating and directing staff and community volunteers related to event ideation, planning and execution, leading these teams to ensure successful events. Duties and responsibilitiesExecute current events including: OPUS (a formal biennial gala); Campaign related events, including Kickoff, Celebration and Honorary Chair event (annual events); ARTini (annual event coordinated by Catalyst: young professionals group); Stewardship events and Club Bubbly (new, annual brunch event); assistance with other Allied Arts events, as needed; community events where Allied Arts may be named as the beneficiary (special dinners, runs, etc. Research and select event dates ensuring that they do not conflict with other non-profit events, sporting events, concerts, etc.Identify sponsorship needs and secure event sponsorships and in-kind contributions for all Allied Arts events, as well as steward event sponsors.Oversee sub-committees related to fundraising events - motivate volunteers and provide resources to facilitate their engagement nNegotiate contracts and manage relationships with caterers, venues, florists, entertainment and other vendors.Coordinate with external partners to develop branded event materials, invitations, signage and social media assets.Design and distribute event invitations through digital and direct mail channels.Collaborate with Development and Operations Teams for donor outreach and stewardship purposes.QualificationsMinimum of three years successful event managementStrong time management, organizational and multi-tasking skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPossess strong communication skills both verbal and written; strong proof-reading skills a plusAbility to take initiative; must be self-motivated and able to work independentlyCreativity with special events, as well as knowledge of national and local trendsExperience in budget managementBasic Production and AV knowledge requiredKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience in Canva or other graphic design platforms,Ability to work in and contribute to a strong team environmentThe Events Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities.
