Events Manager

About the Role

We're looking for an Events Manager to join our live events team in the retail technology, commercial real estate, and food industries. You'll be a primary point of contact for assigned events from contract through post-show for sponsors and speakers and will manage the registration process in Cvent. This is a hybrid role based in our Louisville, KY office 2-3 days a week.

What You'll Do

Serve as the primary contact for sponsors and exhibitors, managing contracted benefits, deliverables, deadlines, and post-event ROI recapsManage the exhibitor lifecycle: registration, booth assignments, exhibitor manuals, communications, shipping, labor, utilities, and complianceManage speaker logistics, including bios, registration and speaker marketing assetsManage registration in Cvent: build registration sites and set up agenda, session registration and event app, ticket types, promo and discount codes, attendee questions, confirmation emails, and registration reportingPartner with hotels, venues, general service contractors, and floor plan designers on setup, move-in/out, and floor plan updatesManage event inventory in the Louisville office and ship materials to each event siteLead sponsor, exhibitor, and speaker support onsite, including sponsor activations and real-time troubleshooting

What You'll Bring

5+ years of event management experience, ideally in B2B trade shows or conferencesProven sponsor and/or exhibitor management experience, including speaker logisticsHands-on Cvent experience, including building registration sites and running reportsExperience with hotels, convention venues, GSCs (Freeman, GES, etc.), and floor plan toolsExperience managing event inventory and shipping to event sitesStrong organization, communication, and client-service skills; able to manage multiple events at onceIn the Louisville, KY office 2-3 days per week, plus additional days as needed for event prepTravel 3-5 times per year for onsite events
