POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events Manager will plan and execute all aspects of non-sporting events and catering functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Manages the booking and catering of nonsporting events and banquetsManage suite level eventsHire, train, and schedule banquet and catering staff Oversee community events as the main stakeholder Assist clients with questions about booking event/facility and closing businessDirect all aspects of event setup and tear-downAssists with catering responsibilities including food/buffet/beverage delivery, setup, serving, clearing, etc.as neededProvide timely client and guest feedback to managementOversee and assists in post-event cleaning as neededRelay important information about additional orders, allergies, and/or special requestsMaintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices in all responsible areasComplete any other special projects and daily assignments as directed by leadershipMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of appropriate management experience requiredAbility to maintain composure in a fast-paced environmentMust have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skillsMust be a team playerMust have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidaysMust be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights and holidaysWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsThe employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlThe employee is exposed to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme cautionWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions and can be exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditionsSignificant standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pullingWill be required to operate a computerFacility has intermittent noise
