The role of the Events Manager at Mark Arts is pivotal to the success and smooth operation of its event rental business and internal special events. This full-time position is geared towards an experienced professional who will oversee all facets of event sales, service, and management responsibilities. The Events Manager acts as the first point of contact for potential clients interested in renting space at the facility, guiding them through tours, pricing options, event-specific details, and recommendations for optimal facility use. They develop customized floorplans and coordinate contracts and payments to ensure a seamless rental experience. Beyond sales, this role is responsible for budget management, revenue forecasting, and monitoring financial statements to maintain a sustainable and profitable event rental operation.

In addition to sales duties, the Events Manager is heavily involved in operational logistics including coordinating event-day activities, staffing oversight, security arrangements, vendor relationship management, and risk management associated with rentals and events. They ensure rental equipment is maintained and that all event spaces meet cleanliness and readiness standards through routine inspections. Close collaboration with internal teams, such as the Exhibitions & Engagement Director, ensures that rental schedules do not conflict with exhibitions or installations.

Moreover, the role encompasses managing Mark Arts special events—such as fundraisers, gallery openings, community outreach, and educational workshops—by handling logistics, vendor coordination, and event execution. The Events Manager also plays a crucial role in external marketing efforts, representing Mark Arts at bridal fairs and expos, while actively building and maintaining a robust network of contacts to drive new event rental business.

• five years of event sales experience
