Are you a highly organized and creative individual with a passion for event planning? Do you thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? Johns Hopkins University is seeking an experienced Events Planner to join our team! As an Events Planner, you will have the opportunity to plan and execute a wide range of events, from small faculty meetings to large-scale university-wide celebrations. We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. If you are passionate about creating memorable experiences and have a strong eye for detail, we want to hear from you!\n\nPlan and execute a variety of events ranging from small faculty meetings to large-scale university-wide celebrations.
Develop and maintain event budgets, timelines, and project plans.
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure events align with university goals and objectives.
Research and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers for event services and materials.
Create and manage event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, transportation, and audio/visual equipment.
Communicate event details and updates to all parties involved, including attendees, speakers, and staff.
Coordinate event marketing and promotion efforts to ensure successful attendance.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues that may arise during the planning and execution of events.
Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations.
Prepare post-event evaluations and reports to assess event success and identify areas for improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance event planning strategies.
Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing Johns Hopkins University at all events.
Manage event staff and volunteers, providing clear direction and support.
Maintain accurate and organized event records, including budgets, contracts, and attendee lists.
Proactively seek feedback from event attendees and stakeholders to continuously improve event planning processes and outcomes.
