Description We are seeking events staff to help bring people together and turn our events into unforgettable experiences. We are a community-oriented retail garden center where families, friends, and neighbors gather to learn, celebrate, and make memories. • Monitor event areas to maintain cleanliness, order, and safety and address immediate issues or escalate as necessary • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to attendee questions, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy • Assist speakers, vendors, and performers with any logistical needs • Serve as crowd control, ensuring adherence to event rules and safety guidelines • Post-Event Breakdown and Cleanup • Efficiently break down the event space, including taking down tables and chairs, packing up equipment, and removing decorations and signage • Assist with inventory of remaining materials and supplies • Ensure the venue is left clean and in its original condition according to venue guidelines • Provide feedback to Event Management on event execution and areas for improvement Requirements • Previous experience in event support, hospitality, and/or customer service is a plus • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and time management abilities • Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and in a fast-paced environment • Personable, warm, and approachable demeanor • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist with physical tasks • Punctual, reliable, proactive, and possessing a strong work ethic • Flexible schedule and available to work an irregular schedule of afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required by the events calendar
