PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Under general supervision of the Media and Communications Manager, the Facility and Event Coordinator will oversee and/or perform a wide variety of support activities for events hosted by the Land Grant Program. This position will also assist the College of Agriculture, Community, and the Sciences Media and Communications Department with efforts to promote the work of the Land Grant Program and Kentucky State University. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: The individual will work with the Media and Communications Manager and employees across the Land Grant Program to schedule and execute events/meetings at the the Cooperative Extension Building, the Center for Sustainability of Farms and Families, and at off-campus locations. • Work is normally performed in either a typical interior/office work environment or in a farm-related setting • Ability to lift 20lbs • Ability to work frequently work nights, weekends and/or holidays as necessary dependent on scheduled events The functions, qualifications, knowledge/skills, and physical requirements listed in this job description represent the essential duties of the job, which the incumbent must be able to perform either with or without reasonable accommodation.
