Fall Event Attendant $16.90/HR

Overview:

Greetings! Are you ready to join a spooktacular celebration? Discovery Kingdom is looking for attendants for annual Oktoberfest and Tricks N Treats events!

Oktoberfest Attendants – Team members roam the event area and assist talent as needed. They report directly to the Oktoberfest Stage Manager.Tricks N Treats Door Activators – Team members are stationed at themed doors where children come to knock. They distribute candy and restock their candy supply as needed throughout the event. They report directly to the Tricks N Treats Stage Manager.

Responsibilities:Entertain park Guests in a professional manner. Ensure a positive experience for every GuestControlling crowds and interacting with Guests in a supportive and understanding roleMaintain and clean Stadiums, Show Venues and Backstage areasWork Private Events or Shows as assignedEnsure that safety of Guests, animals and performers are maintainedMaintaining “show illusion” and belief of character at all times for our GuestsOther duties as requested
Qualifications:The ability to confidently perform and speak in front of a large crowdThe skills to improvise interactions with Guests and licensed characters is applicableThe ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal communicationQualifications: Must be at least 16 years of agePhysical Requirements:

Constantly standing, talking, climbing, walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping,
feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near far, stooping,
bending, kneelingWorking in extreme heat, sun, cold, wetness, humidity and temperature changeMust be able to carry 5 to 10 lbs.All lifts over 51 lbs. require help from a coworker or mechanical deviceOvertime of adults may be required from time to time to accommodate the business needCrowd control at Show Venues and StadiumsCleaning and maintenance of Show Venues and StadiumsGreeting and directing Guests at showsInteracting with Guests at Show Venues and Stadiums through games and crowd workAssisting Guests by providing expert park knowledge
