The Corporate Event Manager is a key member of the Culinary Team. You will be running our Front of House catering team with support from the Culinary Director, Executive Chef and our Catering Sales Manager. We aim to create an exceptional guest experience and you are directly involved in that goal. Running the floor, creating a cool aesthetic, staff scheduling, training, instructing and evaluating staff, helping with planning; all of these will be your responsibility and more. The Corporate Event Manager is a part-time position averaging 10-20 hours per week, but this schedule is open to change as our business is flourishing and growing!

Roles and Responsibilities

Event Production

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of event production including, but not limited to staffing, rentals, inventories, presentation, safety, timing and most importantly client satisfaction.Assist in developing concepts and ideas for smoother event production and exceeding client expectationsFinancial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills required

Staff Management

Allocate resources as neededSeamlessly interacts with back of the house staff to provide an amazing guest experienceCoaches staff—critiquing their work and recognizing great performance—during every eventParticipate in the day-to-day planning of business. Drive execution towards costs targetsAuthorize service staff breaks

Service

Leads efforts to find and train model front of house serversSupports and promotes the The Midway service vision at all times

Organization and Presentation

Ensure that overall food service appearance is exceptionalActively pursue and foster an organized work placeSafety and Security

Supervise the production of catering service (stations, equipment, seating, etc.)Promote an atmosphere of safetyAdditional Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities not detailed in this job description may be added by the Culinary Director, General Manager or Partners after discussion with the Corporate Event Manager.
