Floral Event Production Manager

Whimsical Creative is a Houston-based wedding planning and floral design studio specializing in elevated celebrations. We are looking for a Floral Event Production Manager to lead our floral department and oversee the planning, production, and execution of our events.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is organized, creative, experienced in floral design, and confident managing a team.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the floral department and production team
Train, guide, and delegate to associate florists
Create floral recipes and production plans
Manage floral purchasing and ordering
Process flowers and oversee floral production
Design personal flowers, centerpieces, installations, and event florals
Manage event logistics, deliveries, installations, and breakdowns
Maintain floral inventory, tools, vessels, and studio organization
Minimize waste and improve production efficiency
Load and organize delivery vehicles
Troubleshoot and problem-solve during event production

Qualifications

Management or team leadership experience preferred
1-2 years of experience in event floristry and/or event production
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong eye for design and attention to detail
Knowledge of floral purchasing and production
Ability to lead and manage a team
Curate experience is a plus
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a delivery van

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 20+ pounds
Ability to climb ladders and lift items overhead
Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
Ability to load and unload vehicles

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time position

Starting at $50,000 annually, based on experience

Immediate start date

Must be available for nights, weekends, and occasional holidays
