Founded in a London flat in 2009, Sofar has evolved into a vibrant global network that empowers artists and creates unforgettable events. With a history of featuring rising talents such as Billie Eilish and Hozier, each Sofar show represents an opportunity for artists and audiences to connect deeply. Our performances take place in unique, intimate settings—from gardens to living rooms—encouraging a communal atmosphere where attendees engage and support the artists.

The Role

As a Freelance Local Event Producer, you will become part of a collaborative community of innovators while influencing the cultural landscape of your city. In this dynamic position, you'll leverage your strong business acumen and local networks to produce remarkable pop-up events that foster genuine connections. This position offers the flexibility of working independently, allowing you to take ownership of how Sofar engages with your local community. Your responsibilities will include event planning, marketing, promotion, and execution, supported by Sofar's Global Communities team.

What You'll Do:

Enhance Sofar's presence in your community through creative marketing and ticket sales.Develop a strategic vision for the number of monthly shows, target neighborhoods, and themed events.Cute and book high-quality, diverse artists and venues for unforgettable experiences.Oversee event logistics to ensure each show offers exceptional hospitality and memorable experiences.Manage the financial performance of each event, guaranteeing success and profitability.Forge partnerships with local businesses to secure sponsorships and promote private events.Connect with local organizations to cultivate community relationships and broaden Sofar's reach.Collaborate with local leaders to create vibrant events that amplify Sofar's brand awareness.Coordinate with Sofar's partnership and community teams to deliver top-tier events that reflect Sofar's values.Who You Are:

You have strong connections within your local scene and are dedicated to fostering community engagement.You possess 3-5 years of experience in live event production and promotion.You are skilled at securing event sponsorships and marketing activations.You can confidently pitch ideas to sponsors, with a strong history of closing deals.You have a keen understanding of local neighborhoods and the interests of your community.You excel at building lasting relationships with community organizations and businesses.You implement strategic alliances to boost ticket sales.You take pride in delivering a professional experience for all participants.You are an excellent communicator with exceptional time management skills.You can work independently but value collaboration with the broader organization.Compensation ranges from $100 to $5,000 a month based on ticket prices, event volume, and overall performance. Producers earn a commission on a per-show basis, with potential earnings exceeding $500+ per event.

Some areas may have existing Producers or multiple positions available. You must be comfortable collaborating with others in a shared market, particularly in larger cities.
