Direct responsibilities and expectations to include the following: • Establish and build long lasting relationships with clients • Come to work with a positive, upbeat attitude • Maintain positive working relationship with colleagues and guests • Mutual Respect with anyone you come into contact with • Support Hotel and Departmental Changes • Mentor, Coach and Train Colleagues • Assist to achieve total hotel financial results • Upsell and generate additional revenue at every opportunity • Forecasting accuracy - email Director of Events of any increases or decreases over $3K • Ensure all groups have proper billing on file and are approved prior to groups arrival • Produce an accurate bill for all groups with minimal post group bill adjustments • Update ongoing Envision comments during the planning and post event phase as well as all future booking comments - reaching out to clients • Execute all contracts terms and concessions outlined in signed Sales Agreement • Adhere to POE due back dates as indicated in the contract • Space management - assist with releasing space in a timely manner to maximize space and revenue • Provide detailed information to Hotel Operations with a minimum of 5 days prior to groups arrival • Provide detailed GDR's for client review in a timely manner • Strive for excellence in service and HySat Medallia results • Pre-Con - all major market groups with more than 100 rooms on peak will require a Pre-Con (unless client indicates they do not want one) • Communication - all changes, details and information accurately communicated to all departments in a timely manner, using the • systems we will implement and have in place • Be fully engaged and committed to being your best both inside and outside of work This is the Hyatt Touch. Qualifications • A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel event sales/event planning, completed Event Management trainee program or comparable experience preferred • Bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years of hotel and/or food & beverage experience preferred • Must be experienced in general computer knowledge and programs • Refined verbal and written communication skills • Present a professional appearance and confidence • Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment • Strong time management & multi-tasking skills with the ability to work well under pressure • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to exceed standards and expectations • Experience in creative development of marketing concepts, custom proposals and promotional events to increase local event sales • Understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts • Have comprehensive knowledge of all operational departments within the hotel; guest services, reservations, housekeeping, audio visual, banquets, accounting, restaurants and engineering • Knowledge of meeting room set-ups and capabilities, sleeping room configurations and types
