Junior Event Designer/SalesFull-time/In Person This role combines elements of client service, event design, project coordination, and business development, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into a well-rounded event professional. What to Expect:Design & Client SupportParticipate in client consultations to understand event goals, budgets, and creative direction.Assist in the development of event concepts, mood boards, presentations, and design materials.Support the creation of floor plans, renderings, and visual presentations using company design tools and software.Research and source furnishings, décor, lighting, graphics, and specialty items for client projects.Help prepare design proposals and client presentations.Stay informed of industry trends, products, and event best practices.Collaborate with senior team members to bring creative concepts to life. Sales & Relationship DevelopmentBuild relationships with prospective and existing clients through phone calls, emails, networking, and follow-up communications.Support business development efforts by researching prospects and assisting with outreach initiatives.Participate in client meetings and presentations.Assist in the preparation of proposals, estimates, and sales materials.Provide exceptional customer service throughout the client experience.Serve as a professional representative of Ampa Events in interactions with clients, vendors, and industry partners. Qualifications & RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree requiredDegrees in hospitality management, event management, communications, public relations, marketing, business, interior design, or related fields are a plus Skills & ExperienceNo prior event industry experience required; training will be providedStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable speaking with clients and prospects by phone, email, and in personHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google WorkspaceExperience with design software, CRM systems, or event planning tools is a plus, but not required Personal AttributesPositive, outgoing, and professional demeanorCurious, self-motivated, and eager to learnComfortable building relationships and networking with clients and industry partnersCreative thinker with strong problem-solving skillsAble to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Schedule & Physical RequirementsAbility to assist with event installations and on-site event execution, as neededWillingness to work occasional evenings and weekends based on event schedulesAbility to lift and move event-related materials when necessary About Ampa EventsAmpa Events is a full-service event production and custom fabrication company based in Richmond, Virginia.
