Kitchen and Event Coordinator

Join Our Team We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic student to join our team as a Food Connection Student Worker. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for food preparation, preservation, and repurposing; catering assistance including serving, bussing, transport of food and equipment, and set-up and breakdown of events; maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and off-site food preparation surfaces, equipment, and dishes; light office, errands, or other duties as needed. Main Responsibilities: • Assist with food preparation and preservation in accordance with safe food handling practices • Provide excellent customer service during events and services • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards • Support event planning and coordination, including setup and breakdown of events Requirements: • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Have reliable transportation or ability to be on time to shifts • Obtain a food handler's permit from the Fayette County Health Department (Servsafe certification a plus) • Attend orientation training
