Primary Objective/Responsibilities:As a Special Events Planner ("SEP") at Puff 'n Stuff Catering, your guiding light is exceeding client expectations through meticulously planned and executed events. Using your passion for hospitality, sales acumen, and event planning expertise, you actively participate in business relationship development, attending individual client events, conducting site visits, and ensuring flawless event execution. You'll be responsible for preparing creative and tailored proposals, tracking sales opportunities, and ensuring clear communication both internally and externally for an outstanding event experience.At Puff 'n Stuff Catering, we are passionate about making lasting memories for our clients while building solid relationships with our vendors and staff. We are known as their trusted partner for off-premise catering at events.Together, we will work towards consistently exceeding client expectations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and building a reputation for delivering outstanding event experiences.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Event Management or Hospitality.3-5 years of experience as a Sales Manager in a hospitality field, preferably in the Central Florida area.Demonstrated success in prior event planning roles with developing and managing over $1 million in annual sales.Working knowledge of food and beverage menus.Ability and willingness to travel within the region and work nights and weekends.Preferred qualifications:Proficiency with Caterease software program or similar event planning tools.Excellent networking and follow-up skills.Ability to finalize event contracts and liaise with management on contractual change requests.Experience identifying efficiency and effectiveness improvements in sales and operations that result in improved financial results.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the SEP is frequently required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and see with the ability to occasionally lift or move items at venues or in the office.
